WWE 2K20 Rumors: Legends Including Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan To Star in Huge Promo For New Game
Some WWE 2K20 rumors are popping up ahead of the release of the next installment in the 2K series. The latest speculation focuses on an upcoming promotional advertisement for the new game. The WWE and 2K are rumored to be involved in a huge campaign to launch the next edition of the game. That campaign will feature some of WWE 2K’s all-time greats in a major ad coming in the future.
WWE 2K20 rumors: Hogan, Flair in new game commercial
There were previous WWE 2K20 rumors involving “The Boss” Sasha Banks. While she hasn’t been in a wrestling ring or on WWE TV for weeks, Sasha was working with WWE 2K on video game concepts in the past weeks. Now, reports are surfacing that not only Banks was involved by major WWE legends including “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Hulk Hogan.
The comparison above is to an NFL 100 advertisement that received praise during this year’s Super Bowl. It featured all-time greats and current stars from the league attending a suit-and-tie dinner event when a football game breaks out. It’s quite possible WWE could do something similar with an all-out brawl, or they’ll have different clips with the different stars to promote the game.
The advertisement has yet to pop up online even through leaks. So far these are just rumors and reports from various wrestling sources. However, it seems very possible that the WWE 2K20 rumors will eventually prove accurate as they look to promote their new game.
WWE 2K Music, Release date details
In addition to the advertisement, there’s been previous information about potential music or soundtrack work. While an official tracklist for the WWE 2K20 soundtrack isn’t available, at least one artist is reportedly working with WWE. That’s none other than hip-hop star Eminem, who may lend a track or two to the new soundtrack.
Slim Shady was previously featured on 2K19 in “Survival of the Fittest,” a song selected by AJ Styles for the soundtrack. Hip-hop star Wale provided his own original song as part of that soundtrack. It’s possible there will be a new Eminem WWE 2K20 song or the artist will curate its soundtrack.
As far as a WWE 2K20 release date, that’s still a mystery too. Based on previous releases, we can speculate it should be in early-to-mid October of this year. WWE 2K19 arrived on October 9 last year, while 2K18 released on October 17 for the standard edition.
Nonetheless, WWE 2K fans are eager to see what the new game looks like and if it can outdo previous editions.
