The anticipation for the WWE 2K22 game is continuing to build as fans look towards its release in just a few months. While we’ve yet to receive an official release date or cover reveal yet, we have seen some of the various WWE stars expected in the game. Here’s the latest on the WWE 2K22 roster rumors ahead of the game’s big release in March.
WWE 2K22 roster includes newcomers, stars, & legends
Over the past few months, 2K has been releasing various promotional trailers or video clips ahead of the WWE 2K22 game’s release. These various pieces of footage have shown off how the gameplay looks and who some of the WWE 2K22 roster members will be.
For example, one of the earliest teaser trailers showed us Rey Mysterio and Cesaro. Both superstars were shown in entrances and then battling briefly as they showed off some in-ring moves.
Another WWE 2K22 trailer arrived during SummerSlam last August. That one featured Roman Reigns, Mysterio, Sheamus, Ricochet, Bayley, Finn Balor, The Miz, Shinsuke Nakamura, Lashley, and more. It’s given us a wide range of superstars, so far.
Based on the trailers we’ve seen and behind-the-scenes footage, it looks like the game will bring some major superstars and legends, as well as rookie newcomers who have transitioned to WWE’s main roster. Examples of newer stars include Austin Theory, Ilja Dragunov, and Raquel Gonzalez.
While we’ve seen a lot of potential stars for the game so far, we’re still waiting for more official reveals. However, we’ve got an idea of who to expect so far.

When is the WWE 2K22 cover reveal and release date?
We’re expecting to see more details about the WWE 2K22 roster in the coming weeks, and any cover reveals, along with release date details soon. 2K previously mentioned they’d be bringing out more information in January 2022.
We’ve come up with some potential cover superstars. Check out our WWE cover star predictions ahead of the reveal this month.
2K also mentioned the WWE 2K22 release date was going to be in March of 2022. That gives us a few months until the game arrives. Typically the game has come out around October, but it’s been a while since there’s been a 2K game. Since there was no WWE 2K21, it gave developers and the creative minds behind 2K22 plenty of time to put together a game fans will love.
