WWE SmackDown Stars R-Truth, Carmella Battle Grizz Gaming GM in 2K19 Match
Ahead of Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown Live show in Memphis, Tennessee, superstars R-Truth and Carmella got some gaming in. Truth is the 10-time WWE 24/7 Champion. Carmella is a former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion and two-time Money in the Bank winner. They took on the general manager for NBA 2K League’s Grizz Gaming in a “friendly” game of WWE 2K19.
WWE SmackDown stars talk games, 24/7 title
The WWE SmackDown superstars participated in a Triple Threat Table match on WWE 2K19 along with Langdon Whitaker, GM for Grizz Gaming. Carmella obviously used herself for the game, while Truth was Bayley, and Whitaker went with Dana Brooke.
During the matchup, Whitaker got in some questions with the pair including Carmella’s interest in sports teams and Truth’s level of gaming. Truth, real name Ron Killings, pointed out that New Day has all the games hooked up in the locker room. He brought up Roman Reigns enjoys playing video games and some of the other “boys.”

There was also discussion of the WWE 24/7 Championship which R-Truth has held the most times. There have been over 30 different title reigns, but Truth has a third of those. As of right now, Maria Kanellis has the championship. She’s one of several female superstars to have captured the belt, but Carmella has yet to claim the championship.
Fans can download a WWE 24/7 Championship from Community Creations to fight over in WWE 2K19. There’s also the option to move the belt to new champions to keep up with the title changes in the real WWE. However, one has to wonder if they will incorporate this belt into the new game and make it defendable everywhere all the time.
In WWE situations, Truth lost the title on a tarmac, won it on a plane, and defended on a golf course. Sometimes the title is won or lost on WWE SmackDown and Raw. It would be an interesting feature to make WWE 2K20 more fun to play with matches taking place all over.
There was no mention of a WWE 2K20 game during the Grizz Gaming video unfortunately. Fans are still awaiting the latest announcement of anything regarding the game such as a teaser trailer, or screenshot. That could be coming in the next month so keep an eye on our WWE news page.
