On the 1st of February, Xbox owners will get access to a new selection of free titles to download as part of Microsoft’s Xbox Games with Gold service. Now, the company has announced what exactly gamers can expect in February of 2020, and the list includes some noteworthy additions, including the original Star Wars Battlefront.
The New Xbox Games with Gold for February 2020
The Xbox Games with Gold service provides Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners with four free games to download every month. (Two are Xbox One titles, while the other two are typically last-generation games.) Note that to be able to download Games with Gold, you will need an Xbox Live Gold subscription. While most of the titles that feature in this program are lesser-known games, the program does occasionally feature games that are both well-known and highly-regarded. For February 2020, there are two standout inclusions to the list. However, they won’t be available right away.
On the 1st of February, players will get access to two new titles, which will be available to download all month. The Xbox One game will be TT Isle of Man, a motorcycle racing game which launched in March of 2018. In addition, gamers will also be able to download Fable Heroes, an Xbox 360 game which served as a spin-off of the Fable series. However, on the 16th of February, two additional games will be added to the Games with Gold roster, and these are the more noteworthy inclusions.
First up is Call of Cthulhu, which launched back in October of 2018. This role-playing survival horror game, which was inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s original novella and the tabletop role-playing game, both of the same name, received mostly positive reviews from critics. Gamers will also be able to download the original Star Wars Battlefront, the 2004 classic made for the first Xbox. All of these games will be available to download until the 29th of February. Of course, providing you download them before that date, they’ll be yours to keep.
