Now that we’ve talked about the games you can play for free right now through Games with Gold, let’s go over some possibilities for July’s free games. Our first prediction is Forza Horizon 4. There are two racing games coming out for Xbox One and other platforms next month: NASCAR Heat 5 and F1 2020. So, making a racing game free next month makes sense. Forza Horizon 2 has been free before, but never Forza Horizon 4. So maybe it’s time.
Something else we are looking forward to in July is the early access preview of Obsidian Entertainment’s upcoming game “Grounded.” Maybe another Obsidian game will be free next month? Our pick is the RPG Pillars of Eternity, which came out originally in 2015 for PC, and released on Xbox One and PS4 two years later in 2017.
Also slated for an upcoming release is Maid of Sker by Wales Interactive. So maybe another Wales Interactive game will be free next month. One idea would be The Shapeshifting Detective described as a “supernatural-noir murder mystery FMV game where you play as a detective who can shapeshift into other characters.”
Our last pick for next month’s free game is FAR: Lone Sails, described as an “atmospheric vehicle adventure game,” where you “travel across an endless dried-up sea with your only companion: your extraordinary vehicle.” The game was well received for its elegance and beauty.
