Zach Ertz, Geno Atkins Amongst Four New Madden 19 Position Heroes in Ultimate Team
Each Tuesday and Thursday, Madden 19 Ultimate Team is adding brand new Position Heroes to the game. These guys are part of a brand new promotion which launched this past Tuesday. Like clockwork, Thursday’s episode of Daily Drops presented four new Madden 19 Position Heroes for MUT. They include the Philadelphia Eagles’ Zach Ertz and Cincinnati Bengals’ Geno Atkins. Here are all of the latest details about the four newest Position Heroes.
Madden 19 Position Heroes: Geno Atkins, Zach Ertz headline new cards
We saw Jamal Adams and T.Y. Hilton revealed in Tuesday’s Position Heroes. On Wednesday evening, the Madden Ultimate Team Twitter teased fans with one of the new reveals. It’s none other than defensive tackle Geno Atkins with a 99 overall card. While some gamers feel this card is lackluster, it’s actually the first upgrade for Atkins in some time. Previously, Atkins had a 95 OVR Primetime Performers card and a 92 OVR for Team of the Week, so this makes his best card yet.
Atkins only brings an 82 speed on this Power Up card but has 99s in terms of Play Recognition and Block Shedding, as well as 98 Power Moves. He’s also a 2019 NFL Pro Bowl representative who could give some gamers a boost on their MUT rosters.
Fans learned of the three other Position Heroes on Thursday’s Daily Drops Twitch episode. Tight end Zach Ertz who helped the Eagles win a Super Bowl two seasons ago has a 99 overall card for Position Heroes. Just like Atkins, his previous best was a 95 OVR, but it was for the Team of the Week. Ertz also had a 92 Primetime Performers card.
That card brings several 99s for Key Attributes including Catching, Catch in Traffic, and Short Route Run. He’s got 98 Medium Route Run and 97 Spectacular Catch, but the Speed attribute may not be what gamers want on their roster. That’s particularly true for gamers who took advantage of the Rob Gronkowski promotions in MUT after he retired.
New LaVonte David, Kevin Zeitler cards also in Position Heroes
There are two other cards to look for in MUT. According to the details revealed on Thursday’s Daily Drops via Twitch, LaVonte David brings zone coverage to the field for gamers’ MUT squads. He’s a 4-3 outside coverage linebacker with decent ability to stop the run. David’s 99 OVR card is also a Power Up card. It features 99 Play Recognition, 97 Speed, 94 Block Shedding, and 91 Speed.
There’s one more player who is now part of Madden’s Position Heroes program and that’s Kevin Zeitler. The guards don’t get all the glory a lot of the time when it comes to the NFL, but Zeitler is going to be in the spotlight. He’s joining the New York Giants next season and will be a key contributor due to having to help block for Saquon Barkley.
Here’s a look at Zeitler’s new card with 99 Awareness, Pass Block, and Pass Block Finesse attributes.
These cards are now available in the Madden 19 Ultimate Team area of the football game. Gamers will need to build sets in order to exchange for these top cards. That involves participating in the newest challenges to earn tokens towards each set.
