ZeniMax Teases Khajiiti Culture in The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr DLC
The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr DLC is the next big expansion for ZeniMax’s Elder Scrolls MMORPG. Due to release on the 4th of June, the Elsweyr will be the third Chapter DLC for the game, following Morrowind and Summerset. It will also be the deepest-ever dive into the region of Elsweyr in any Elder Scrolls title, and in their latest teaser, ZeniMax hinted that it will give fans a never-before-seen look at the region and at Khajiiti culture.

“You might have come across the Khajiit during your previous Elder Scrolls adventures,” says ZeniMax; “but in The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr, you can truly immerse yourself in the homeland of Tamriel’s beloved cat people.”
Elsweyr will bring a host of new content to The Elder Scrolls: Online; a new Necromancer class, a new 12-player Trial, and of course, dragons! However, the new region itself is also a vast new piece of content full of Khajiit and their unique way of life. As per usual for an Elder Scrolls game, and ESO in particular, the new region is filled to the brim with side-quests and places to explore. Sites to see include Rimmen, a Khajiit city currently “under harsh Imperial occupation.”
“As you complete these [side-]quests,” says ZeniMax; “you’ll learn about the history, mythology, and modern-day life of the zone’s native inhabitants. To get you started, we recommend checking out Merryvale Farms, a picturesque moon-sugar plantation due east of the Valenwood Gate. You might encounter a familiar face when you do!”
All this and more will be available once Elsweyr launches in June. PC/Mac players can actually participate in Early Access, which will open on the 20th of May. In fact, the DLC’s prologue quest is already available for free in-game! For now, the DLC is available to pre-order, with a variety of pre-order rewards available to early adopters.
