Rumor: PS5 Will Support Themes

Been wondering whether PS5 will support themes like PS4 does? Broadly speaking, most users have probably assumed the answer to that question is “yes.” But Sony has not actually said that this will be the case. As a result, a lot of gamers have been questioning whether themes will continue on PS5 or not. But now we have some evidence that indeed we will have themes on PS5’s user interface.

Behavior Interactive Leaked That PS5 Will Support Themes

Behavior Interactive is the source of this leak, the developer of Dead by Daylight: The Stranger Things Edition. Apparently, one of the editions of that game will include a PS5 theme. Clearly, the developer wasn’t supposed to mention this yet as Sony hasn’t. But they did anyway; mistakes like these happen.

While gamers are talking about the leak, Sony isn’t, so we don’t know for sure that there will be PS5 themes. But given the leak’s source, there is not a lot of reason to doubt the veracity of it. Surely Behavior Interactive would have no reason to mention a PS5 theme if they had not already worked on it. Since that must be the case, we can feel pretty confident in assuming that PS5 will feature themes. That PS5 will support themes is welcome news, as it is great to be able to customize our PlayStation experience. We are just awaiting an official confirmation from Sony.

In other PS5 leaks, PlayStation France briefly referenced a trophy progress feature for the new console. Early reports also suggest that both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X run very quietly.
