DICE has provided more infromation on the Battlefield V customization which has been in the center of attention for a few days now. Fans are worried that the kind of customization the game will feature will not represent the actual World War 2 events but the company has revealed that things won’t be as extreme as we thought.
For starters, when the game releases, players will have the opportunity to use only British faction on the Allied side & the German faction on the Axis side Battlefield V customization items. More factions will be implemented in the game as it progresses but those two factions are what you get in terms of customization.
What types of Battlefield V customization items will be available though? Fans are worried that the implemented items will be “a bit too much” for a World War 2 game, expecially thinking of how realistic Call of Duty: WW2 is. DICE has previously stated that Battlefield V won’t be as based on historic events as much a new take on the setting.
Players will be able to equip different Helmets and Camos as Battlefield V customization items, which will be restricted to each faction. There will be different items in that aspect for the British army and different ones for the German faction, so that each battle won’t look like an MMORPG gathering.
The company also revealed that you’ll be able to have “the freedom to adapt and evolve the battlefield in new and unseen ways” and “forge a deeper connection to the ever-evolving world around them and achieve victory against the toughest odds”. As we see it, DICE doen’t want us to feel deceived if the game isn’t as realistic in a historic aspect, making it clear that Battlefield V will be a whole new chapter to Electronic Art’s franchise.
