It hasn’t even been a week after the release of the introduction of the later specialist in Black Ops 4 Blackout. Now, Treyarch revealed Reaper, coming back from Black Ops 3 to join the Blackout roster. Reaper is already available in the battle royale mode and the developers accompanied it with a new trailer.
In theory, Reaper is the product of a cutting-edge military R&D project to supplement Special Operations soldiers in the field. Unlike other robots of his line, Reaper is sentient. In Blackout, he’ll be joining the roster after Zero, bringing a more futuristic look to the mode.
Note that, Reaper is available only through the purchasable Black Ops Pass. This means that you have to own the pass in order to acquire him, with no other unlock requirements for Black Ops 4 Blackout.
In addition, the new trailer for Reaper in Black Ops 4 Blackout, finds the new character in action. He doesn’t have any special abilities, apart from his cool voice which is totally different than what we were used to.
Note that, Reaper is available only in Black Ops 4 Blackout. We don’t know if he’ll be coming to multiplayer in the future. However, it’s nice to see specialists getting added to Blackout as exclusives. Treyarch has already pointed out several times that they’ll be adding more iconic Black Ops characters to the mode’s ranks, so we doubt we’ll see him in other modes.
In other news, a new update is now available in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Apart from fixes and rebalances, the update 1.10 includes the introduction of custom games for Blackout and Operation Absolute Zero for PC and Xbox One.
