Destiny 2: Dinklebot Easter Egg Found In Borderlands 3

Borderlands series is and has been one of the top games in the looter shooter genre. It is developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games. The first installment in this franchise was released worldwide in October 2009 that was – Borderlands. After that, Gearbox worked on Borderlands 2 that was released on September 18, 2012. Between 2012 and now (2019), there have been several installments to this franchise like Borderlands: The Pre Sequel and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. But, after almost 7 years, Gearbox finally released a true installment to Borderlands franchise that is – Borderlands 3 and this game is full of Easter Eggs. Recently, players have discovered a Dinklebot Easter Egg in Borderlands 3.

If you haven’t played Destiny series before, here’s a quick run-back. Destiny is a first-person Looter Shooter just like Borderlands. It’s developed by Bungie and (now) published by Bungie as well. It was first released on September 2014 and after three years, Bungie released Destiny 2. In Destiny 1 Year 1, Peter Dinklage was the voice actor for – Ghost (was replaced with Nolan North in Year 2). Since then, players have been referencing his work in Destiny for Ghost as – Dinklebot.

Shortly after the release of Borderlands 3, players have been seeing a lot of references containing famous Destiny quotes, objects and even our favorite – Dinklebot. Borderlands franchise is famous for its humorous and edgy dialogues. A just like that, Dinklebot was killed in Borderlands 3 (rest in peace on the Moon).

Destiny 2’s next expansion is called Shadowkeep that comes with a ton of new activities, features like Armor 2.0, Finishers, and Artifact system. Destiny 2 is also moving to its new home – Steam.
