Bungie tweaked Eververse economy with Shadowkeep and Season of the Undying in Destiny 2 which was a great step in the right direction. But, it’s still not the best solution to the whole Eververse and Silver economy. So, Bungie is testing out new changes to the Eververse and Bright Dust with Season of Dawn. As we know, Season of Dawn begins in 3 days (at the time of writing) from now. Players will get a brand-new sandbox update that’ll bring new tweaks to the solar sub-class for Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks.
Bright Dust Changes Coming to Destiny 2
In This Week At Bungie, they discussed how players will be able to earn more Bright Dust upon activity completions in Destiny 2. In Season of the Undying, around 50% of the Eververse cosmetics have been offered for Bright Dust. But Bungie is bumping that number even more. According to them, in Season of Dawn, up to 80% of the Eververse items will be available for Bright Dust at some point during the season. Here’s what Bungie said regarding the Bright Dust changes coming with the next sandbox update:
“In Season of the Undying, we changed Bright Dust from a pay-and/or-play-to-earn currency to a play-to-earn reward. We want all players to be able to acquire a selection of their favorite Eververse content every season just by playing the game, and we’ve been keeping an eye on the Bright Dust economy in Season of the Undying with this in mind. In Season of Dawn, all Dawning Weekly and Repeatable bounties will award Bright Dust in quantities equal to the amount awarded from the strike, Crucible, and Gambit bounties (200 per weekly and 10 per repeatable). Crimson Days will do the same for Weekly bounties only, as this event does not include Repeatable bounties.”
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is now live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, released on October 1, 2019, and on November 19, 2019, on Google Stadia.
