It seems that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC isn’t done after all, as a new DLC character has just been announced for later this year. Bandai Namco has revealed that Super Baby 2 of Dragon Ball GT fame will be coming to the popular fighting game later this summer. Bandai Namco continues to add DLC long past what was initially revealed for the game, which is great for fans.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Producer Masayuki Hirano also stated that the game will keep receiving more and more paid DLC characters for the foreseeable future, in addition to free updates to balance the game and network functionality for everyone. It is currently unknown if Super Baby 2 will be released as part of an Extra DLC Pack like other recent characters.
The news was released in the latest issue of V-Jump in Japan, the same issue that also broke the news of a Tokyo Ghoul:re Call to Exist game that we also covered earlier today. It is unsure if Super Baby 2 will be the only version of the famous GT villain to be featured in the game, as other popular versions like normal Baby and Baby Vegeta weren’t mentioned.
It does seem odd for him to be the only DLC character to be released from Dragon Ball GT so we do suspect that more characters from the show will be coming in the future. In the meantime, Bandai Namco has a ton of anime-inspired video games scheduled for this year like Black Clover: Quartet Knights and more Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC.
In addition, it was also revealed that a new Tales of JRPG is in development at Bandai Namco, following the absolutely stellar Tales of Berseria from last year. For more on the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Super Baby 2 DLC release date, keep it locked here to find out.
