So far, gamers have seen a number of Madden 20’s Superstar X-Factor players, but mostly for the offensive side of things. On Tuesday, they revealed their first defensive ability for the Superstar X-Factor feature. That will be none other than Unstoppable Force, something revealed in at least one YouTube content creator’s gameplay video. Now we are getting to see the seven players that will have Madden 20 Unstoppable Force as their ability including Myles Garrett and Joey Bosa.
What is the Madden 20 Unstoppable Force X-Factor ability?
Just yesterday, we reported about Superstar X-Factor player Khalil Mack. The Chicago Bears’ defensive juggernaut was the first guy we’d seen to have Unstoppable Force. The Madden 20 Unstoppable Force ability gives players a greater chance of being able to break one-on-one matchups against their offensive tackle opponent. Mack is just one of seven guys in the game who possesses this ability.
Mack is one of two left outside linebackers with this ability. The other is the Dallas Cowboys’ Demarcus Lawrence. Three left defensive ends will have the ability as well. They are the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Calais Campbell, New Orleans Saints’ Cameron Jordan, and Los Angeles Chargers’ Joey Bosa. Right defensive end Myles Garrett has Madden 20 Unstoppable Force as well as Defensive Tackle Geno Atkins.
How to get or lose the ability, players’ Star Abilities
To unlock a player in Madden 20 with Unstoppable Force, gamers need to record just one sack with the Superstar X-Factor player. Once they get into the zone these players have increased win rate and block shedding speed against the one-on-one pass blocker matchups.
Superstars lose the Madden 20 Unstoppable Force if 50 offensive yards are allowed. It seems like a powerful weapon for those in the game to unleash on their opponents. Unstoppable Force will make quarterbacks nervous as they see these menacing defenders coming their way. Scrambling QBs will have success if they have good abilities, while other QBs will need to think fast.
The EA Madden site lists these seven NFL superstars but we’ve only seen five of the players’ Star Abilities. See the list below.
- Geno Atkins (Bengals) – Reach Elite, Power Specialist
- Joey Bosa (Chargers) – TBA
- Calais Campbell (Jaguars) – Reach Elite, Edge Threat
- Myles Garrett (Browns) – Power Specialist, Edge Threat
- Cameron Jordan (Saints) – Run Stopper, Edge Threat
- Khalil Mack (Bears) – Reach Elite- Edge Threat
- Demarcus Lawrence (Cowboys) – TBA
Other Madden X-Factor stars
So far, four of the players who have Madden 20 Unstoppable Force also have that Edge Threat Star Ability. Any player in the game with this ability has “dominant pass rush moves while rushing from the edge of the defense.”
As mentioned, these are the first of the defensive Superstar X-Factor players that EA revealed on their website. We’ve also seen Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams and Jalen Ramsey of the Jacksonville Jaguars in EA or content creators’ demos.
See a glimpse of Donald’s Fearmonger X-Factor ability in this clip:
The addition of these seven means we’re getting close to knowing a lot of the players with abilities. EA has plans to reveal all 50 Superstar X-Factor players through the end of June so we’ll have a full list by then. However, some of the offensive stars we’ve now seen include Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Antonio Brown, Ezekiel Elliott, Odell Beckham Jr., Christian McCaffrey, and Alvin Kamara.
