Great news for those looking forward to a serious performance boost from their PlayStation 4 consoles. Sony has just released PlayStation update 6.20. Wondering how to get the PlayStation 6.20 patch and what changes were made through this PlayStation update? We’re here to get you up to speed.
PS4 Update 6.20 Patch Notes
PlayStation 4 update 6.20 went live today, December 12th, 2018. To get it, you can go to the official System Updates page for PS4 at the PlayStation website. There you will find a blue button which says, “Download Update.”
The other option is just to start your console. You should see a prompt to either update your system right away or schedule it for later. We recommend that you grab the update right then and there. It is just 447.2MB. The delay involved with downloading and installing it is minimal.
Sony says on the previously linked page that, “This system software update improves system performance.” The page lists full instructions for updating via your computer, a disc, or online through the console itself. That is really all the information that the company has provided at this point.
So PlayStation 4 update 6.20 doesn’t look like it is going to make a particularly dramatic difference in how we play, but any improvement to system performance can make for a better gaming experience. Remember while updating your system that you must not switch off your console. If you need further instructions or reminders, just review the information that Sony has provided on the System Updates page.
